Andrea and his son, Marco, were the perfect accommodation owners. They couldn't have done any more for us, they actually went over and beyond for us, from picking us up at the bus station on arrival in Bari to dropping us off at the airport at 05.30am on the morning of departure, incredible! I've never had that service in all of the years travelling abroad. And not to mention the information on Bari on arrival, the short tour of the area in Andrea's car plus the gifts of local produce kindly given to us and of course the welcome pack of Prosecco and fruit and the beautiful basil plant. Special mention too of the cleanliness of the accommodation it really was spotless with loads of toiletries and coffee, salt and olive oil etc. We honestly couldn't have asked for any more from two excellent hosts and also two very nice friendly guys. Andrea even offered to take us on a trip with his son and daughter to Monopoli for the day but sadly we decided to stay in Bari that day as we were a bit tired from travelling otherwise we would have taken him up on his kind offer.

Could be better: Nothing really the location was excellent, food in Bari was outstanding as was the weather and the local area was nice and secluded with really nice neighbours, there was some noise at times i.e. during the day and early evening but by about ten pm the place was dead quiet.

  • 10.010.0 out of 10 Staying at Andrea’s place gave us a lovely introduction to Bari, where we have a really lovely 3 nights. Highly recomme

A perfect central location. The house was super clean with everything, and more, you need. Andrea and his son Marco were so friendly and welcoming and left lots of fresh fruit for us, as well as plenty of coffee and breads and even Prosecco!

Could be better: Lots of stairs, but we knew that before we came and wasn’t a problem

  • 9.09.0 out of 10 A amazing property, in a great location with a wonderful host.

The property was beautifully and uniquely decorated. It was spotless and well equipped for our every need. We loved the top floor balcony. Andrea is a wonderful host, nothing is too much trouble. His welcome gifts of a fruit basket and prosecco were gratefully received.

Our stay at Porto Antico was truly unforgettable. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the old town, surrounded by charming restaurants, lively shops, and everything you might need just steps away. But what truly made our experience exceptional was our host, Andrea. From the very beginning, Andrea went above and beyond. He welcomed us personally at the central train station and kindly drove us to the accommodation. On the way, he even gave us a short but delightful tour of the city to help us get our bearings. On the day of our departure, he once again offered us a ride and surprised us with thoughtful farewell gifts. His warmth and generosity made us feel genuinely cared for. Throughout our stay, Andrea was always available and happy to share fantastic recommendations—from hidden gems to must-see spots and excellent places to eat. Thanks to his tips, we got to experience the best the city has to offer. The apartment itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and full of thoughtful touches. It was stocked with everything we could possibly need—from personal care essentials to fresh fruit, tasty snacks, and even a bottle of prosecco to enjoy on the lovely rooftop terrace. We absolutely loved our time here and wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation. You’ll not only have a comfortable stay but also get a true taste of southern Italian hospitality and warmth.

Owner was helpful and suggested places to go and took us to and from the apartment to the train station. Free fruit's and prosseco and plenty of good coffee there. Great location near the sea and in the old town

Highly recommended, don't look for anything else! Our host Andrea took wonderful care of us with incredible attention to detail – he took the time to give us a full house tour and patiently explained every little detail, and the house itself was beautifully furnished with nothing missing. The location was perfect too, just minutes away from San Nicola Cathedral and surrounded by lovely restaurants and cafés, and Andrea even went out of his way to accommodate our special requests, sent us off with delicious goodbye gifts, and drove us to the airport at the end of our stay – a truly complete worry-free package from start to finish. Thank you, Andrea, for your wonderful hospitality, we would come back anytime!

  • 9.09.0 out of 10 Wonderful cozy apartment with excellent location!

The location was perfect, in the outskirts of the oldtown, on a quiet street, but just a few steps away from restaurants and cafes. The host was very friendly and had a lot of good tips and recommendations! The apartment was cozy, had a comfortable bed and everything else we needed, even a cute little balcony where we enjoyed our coffee every morning. We loved this place!

Could be better: Not a problem for us, but beware; there are a lot of stairs. :)

Andrea offered us a bottle of wine and some cookies and even offered to take us to the train station! My recommendation would be to bring indoor slippers if you are coming during a colder season. Thank you very much for everything. I would definitely come back here or recommend it to someone else!

Appreciate the emergency WC on the first floor. There is a nice balcony on the top but we didn't use it because of the rain and wind. Andrea did a nice welcome in Bari, showed us the whole place and we did get a very good wine for a present. Then he gave us tips for restaurants and typical food with good price/quality ratio. We were offered a ride from and to the train station.

Could be better: There's nothing we could dislike.
