This property was very well situated in the old town of Bari. The check-in and check-out proceedures were seamless, and the host was always readily available. We felt transported into another era walking amongst Bari's charmed streets. A lot of local social entertaining happens just beyond Mattia's door, which, along with outside markets selling homemade macaroni, is a delight to the soul. The old castle is just a skip and a jump away, and many restaurants and eateries abound. Mattia's House has made excellent use of the space and sets itself perfectly for the short stay enthusiast. The unique staircase is something we are glad we got to experience. We can't recommend this property enough for its charm and location.
Could be better: The kitchen and appliances are demure and basic. However, with the excellent eateries available, it served our needs just fine.

I like the location of the property. Everything was clean.
Could be better: The stairs were a bit steep, but it wasn’t that big deal for us. Also with great location comes a lot of noise, also the front door wasn’t stable at all, we felt little unsafe, but at the end of our trip we got used to it.

Perfect location in the old town. Easy self checkin for our late arrival. Nice interior design. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Coffee capsules were prepared for us with some snacks as well. Great host with quick reply and useful information.
Could be better: The stairs were a bit narrow and steep. Going to the toilet during the night needed some extra attention. The location was perfect in the old town but it meant it can get loud during the evenings and the nights as well. So make sure to join the night life 😁

Very pleasant accommodation in an excellent location, close to Bari Centrale and the city center. The house is spread over three floors, and although the space is a bit small, it is very well organized and beautifully utilized. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The host was extremely helpful, communicative, and always available whenever we needed assistance. It’s a great choice for a short stay in Bari.

The location is very nice. Every touristic attraction was close. The room was clean and the owner was nice and quick in responding to our questions. Everything was perfect It looks exactly like the pictures The stairs are, in fact, quite hard to climb, but it was not a problem to us
