We liked everything about the apartment. Particularly comfortable and big/foldable bed for the third person. We think that the balcony deserves better photo in presentation on Booking, as it was perfect for enjoying morning coffee and glass of wine in the evening. Highly recommend for people 60+ for all the qualities. Outstanding and helpful hosts as well.

Wonderful hosts, very helpful. Great location for both the old city and 10 mins walk to railway station. Flat was spacious and well kept.

The apartment was spacious and well-located, with easy access to both the historic center and the bustling shopping district. It provided all the necessary amenities, including lightning-fast internet. What really impressed us, however, was the mid-stay cleaning and towel change, which ensured a comfortable and hygienic stay.
Could be better: To avoid any mishaps with the electronic toilet, we had to be extremely vigilant when disposing of toilet paper. It was quite frustrating, to be honest. However, the presence of a bidet provided some relief in this regard. Also, the toilet made loud noises at times.

Great location, between the train station and the old town (Bari Vecchia). Apartment is on the 2nd floor and there is an elevator/lift (but a few stairs from main entrance to elevator for those with mobility issues). Easy to dump trash as there is a bin directly out the front door of the building. Terrace is small but well maintained and it was nice to sit out there (so many properties with terraces seem to have abandoned them/don't keep them clean but that was not the case here).

Could be better: The water/toilet situation was not disclosed in the listing and was a real deal breaker for me. You are not allowed put your used toilet paper into the toilet itself. Each time you use the toilet, you have to put the used toilet paper into a trash can beside the toilet. They have an electric toilet which prohibits toilet paper (odd but I'm guessing at some point guests clogged the delicate toilet system with too much toilet paper and they moved to prohibit it completely). There are 2 signs in the bathroom to that effect. I found it unacceptable that I could not use the toilet in what I consider a 'normal' way, disposing of my used toilet paper directly into the toilet. So then you have to take out the trash frequently with your used toilet paper in order to avoid smells. It was stressful to me dealing with this and I should have known ahead of time and then I could have avoided booking this place. You'll see other reviews mentioning the noises the toilet makes as well as when you run water in the sinks but that was honestly the least of the problems. Additionally, the water useage in the kitchen sink was problematic, not being able to even rinse dishes. The sign specified no food 'residue' could go down the drain, all dishes had to go into the dishwasher. While it may seem that was great (no handwashing dishes!) it was not. Not rinsing my cereal bowl and not running the dishwasher with only one or two items made the dishwasher slightly smelly. And I had to run it on my last night as there were not enough mugs for coffee. Maybe I should have run it each day with only one or two items, I don't know. They really need to upgrade the water system, I stay in Bari frequently for work and I've never encountered anything like this.
