The property itself was lovely. The space was nice and cozy and had plenty of amenities to use. The beds were comfy and clean, too. The only slight issue we had was finding the place on the first day, which was easily fixed by having a look at Google Maps. As the property sits in the old town, it is in close proximity to the Swabian Castle (which I recommend a visit to) as well as plenty of great spots for food. It is also only around 1km away from Bari Centrale station, making a walk from there a possibility. What I especially want to talk about, however, is the exceptional generosity, kindness, and hospitality of our hosts – Pietro and Miriam. On our first day in Bari, while out for a walk, Mum had a nasty fall and broke her elbow and her ankle. Not only were they immensely supportive when we contacted them, but they also provided us an extra night's stay (that was unfortunatly as much as they could offer, given that they had another booking after). They also helped us find alternative accommodation when our booking ended, and with transport to get me to and from the hospital. They continuously asked after mum and I to see how we were doing, and offered a bit of calm in an otherwise terrible situation. They went above and beyond in helping us (Pietro was in a completely different country, and was helping at all hours of the night there), and for that, I am immensely grateful. Should we come back to Bari, we will definitely look at booking here again, though hopefully without the broken bones this time.

I like the apartment very much. It was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. It was very central right in the heart of the old city. The host was very kind and offered breakfast, coffee and complimentary bottled water.

Everything was perfect, the apartment is very close to everything within the city (old part of Bari), yet at a very quiet little street. It was very comfortable, beautifully cleaned, well equipped, coffee machine with coffee as well, clean sheets and towels included. Air conditioning was also available, we would definitely return one day.

The location right in the old center was fantastic. The area has such a fantastic atmosphere. The appartment is cosy and offers all that you need.

The location is superb. We loved all the thoughtful extras inside. Very generous spaces, lovely garden courtyard. We loved being able to create a simple meal from local market buys. Pietro was excellent to deal with. We appreciated everything. .

Everything was excellent about the property & the host: Pietro had sent me very clear instructions in advance on how to open the lockbox to get the key, including a video demonstration; Pietro was WONDERFUL all round, responding quickly to my many questions despite the 5 hour time difference between Italy & where he was, including booking me a taxi for departure & arranging luggage storage for the day of my late departure; the property was immaculately clean & thoughtfully furnished with everything you might need (except kitchen implements if you plan to cook much), including lots of power points, bright lighting, a washing machine, and everything was in perfect working order; I loved that the entrance faces the little square filled with huge potted plants -- a very green & delightful view; it was very quiet, at least in the bedroom; the bed was very comfortable for me.

Could be better: (1) I wish I had realized ahead of time that a taxi can not drive up directly to the property. I arrived in Bari in the early evening straight off a very long set of flights from Canada (9 hour time difference between my home & Italy), exhausted & in pain. I speak no Italian & as an older woman travelling alone with a lot of luggage, it was panic-inducing when the taxi driver at the airport (who spoke no English, not that I expected him to) managed to make me understand that he could not go into the old town area at all & that I would have to walk some undetermined distance, maybe 500 m or more, to get to the property. He tried phoning Pietro's number but got no answer. So we set off but thankfully while we were driving, Pietro responded to my Whatsapp call for help with instructions that the taxi could in fact drive within 100m of the property before 20.30. So I was dropped off as close as possible & thanks to Google Maps I then found the property without too much trouble. But I would have been in a bad way without Pietro's guidance! (I found out later that Pietro was actually in Indonesia, with a 5-hour time difference, which is why he did not answer his phone but could use Whatsapp) (2) it would have been useful if I had known in advance that Pietro was not going to be in Italy & that I should communicate with him only by email or Whatsapp, but once I found that out, he was fantastic about checking his Whatsapp at all hours! (3) it would have been nice to have more natural light, as the only windows are in the entrance door, but the indoor lighting was very good, so it wasn't a problem.
