I was expecting Casa Calamondino to be a good choice for four nights in Bari, and I was not disappointed. Ruggiero was an exceptional host. He met us at the apartment to show us around, provided a lovely breakfast for us, offered us umbrellas when the rain came for a few hours and arranged our taxi to the airport. He was great. The room was always cleaned at a specified time, which allowed us time to get ready and be out.
Could be better: Our only concern was the noise in the evening, but as we chose a weekend to visit Bari, it could only be expected. The apartment is situated in a very good location which inevitably means there will be lots of people.

Roger was a host worthy of a 12 on a scale of 10! A model of what a host can be! He carried luggage, took care of laundry, gave recommendations and just overall took care of us. He made our Bari experience top notch! Thank you so much. Place was clean and spotless. Excellent breakfast.
Could be better: Only negative is steps if you’re not used to two floors.

Beautifully tucked away in the heart of Bari Vecchia, it is perfectly located for exploring the old town, with restaurants, bars, cafés and all the charm of Bari right on your doorstep. From our very first contact, Ruggiero was exceptional. His communication before and throughout our stay was warm, thoughtful and incredibly attentive. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and that genuine hospitality really set the tone for our stay. The hotel itself is stunning. Ruggiero’s background in interior design is immediately apparent the moment you walk through the door. The rooms are beautifully designed without feeling overly styled, with wonderful attention to detail, soaring high ceilings and a real sense of space. Everything feels both luxurious and incredibly comfortable, with excellent amenities and those little touches that make you feel you’re somewhere rather special. Breakfast was another highlight. Before we arrived, Ruggiero asked what we would like, and each morning it was delivered to our room at the time we requested on a lovely little trolley. The local produce was absolutely delicious and made breakfast feel like a genuine treat rather than simply another hotel service. But what really makes Casa Calamondino stand out is Ruggiero himself. There is a warmth and personal touch here that you simply don’t get in larger hotels. The whole experience felt effortless, personal and genuinely welcoming. We absolutely loved our stay. Casa Calamondino is stylish, beautifully located, exceptionally comfortable and wonderfully hosted. I genuinely couldn’t recommend it highly enough — and I would return to Bari in a heartbeat just to stay here again. A very special place, made even more special by its host.

Casa Calamondino was perfect for our short stay in Bari in every way. Ruggiero was an exceptional host who met us after a late flight into Bari to carry our cases to the beautiful room. He also gave us great tips for things to do & places to eat. The accommodation was in a great location in the middle of the old town. Not noisy & very handy. The room itself was very spacious, actually more of a suite than a deluxe room, with its own walk in dressing room. Beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was all local products, beautifully presented and delivered to our room at a time to suit us.

Our room was in the heart of the old town, and so comfortable. Everything looked new and we slept well due to efficient and quiet aircon.
Could be better: An additional waste paper bin in the bedroom would be useful.

Great location. Lots of restaurants in the area. My host Roger was great. Assisted with my “heavy” luggage when I arrived and when I left. He waited for me when I arrived across the street where the taxi dropped me off. Very hospitable. He also provided recommendations for restaurants, points of interest etc. Room was clean daily. Would recommend
Could be better: The key was a little difficult to get into the apartment but after a few tries it was fine. I realize all these apartments come with keys.

Absolutely wonderful stay!! The location was PERFECT in old town Bari. Truly magical. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. Ruggiero was extremely hospitable and helped us with luggage and taxis. The breakfast cart each morning was so good especially the coffee!!!
