I loved everything about this property and would stay here again. Located just inside old town, central so I could easily pop back to my room to drop off something or change, easy walk to train station, quiet at night, very safe to access day and night after being out in the evening (lone female traveller), beautifully appointed inside with little extras…

I loved everything about this property and would stay here again. Located just inside old town, central so I could easily pop back to my room to drop off something or change, easy walk to train station, quiet at night, very safe to access day and night after being out in the evening (lone female traveller), beautifully appointed inside with little extras like a heated towel rail, and light switch by bed with bright and dim options, and large modern bathroom/ensuite with lots of clean white towels. Great shower. Bed was comfortable and large. Fabulous air conditioning. Small fridge in room. Easy to communicate with host, I was met on arrival and shown everything, and offered recommendations and told I could contact at any time if I needed anything(which I didn't need, but it was nice knowing I had that option if I had wanted a taxi booked or any help). I hope to return to Bari one day, and would look to book here again. I had the Blue room - there are 3 off the central foyer with a shared kitchenette area.
Could be better: I liked everything, and can't think of any suggestions.

Carlos's assistant Flo does a fantastic job. Super helpful and has good information to share on the city. The apartment is located in a brilliant location to get to both Old and New Town. La Pazzeria is right around the corner and is a great spot. The apartment was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, the bathroom is huge and well designed.
Could be better: Not keen on the no lifts but that was clearly communicated and Flo assisted with getting bags up and down the stairs. The location really is primo.

Carlos’s guest house was beautiful – in a 19th century building just inside Bari Vecchia, but modern and recently renovated inside with every comfort. The bathroom is beautiful with a lovely extra large shower, towels and soap of high quality. There were also cute little details like complementary toiletries including tooth brush and toothpaste. We of course had a coffee machine in the room, and some simple breakfast snacks like toast and marmalade, which was a nice touch. We enjoyed our balcony, but the room was also completely silent with the door closed. Beautiful comfortable pillows on the bed, tastefully decorated everything. Floriana gave us an excellent supply of recommendations for sightseeing, Bariexperience.com, and where to eat and drink locally. We had dinner at Al Sorso Preferito and La Cecchina based on her recommendations and our friends’ as well coincidentally and the first was a wonderful, classic restaurant with amazing prices, while La Cecchina what located in Piazza Mercantile, which had a really different and local feel to it. It was so much fun that Carlo, the owner of the B&B, also owns the restaurant on the corner La Pazzeria, which is famous for its singing waiters. It was so much fun to walk down and see Carlo belting out Italian songs in between seating customers! And also, as an added note, we came to Bari out of curiosity and left completely happy to find such a vibrant city with baresi able to live amidst the beauty of the old historic quarter and surrounded by the ocean.

We were a group of 3 couples, perfect to have 3 rooms, one with a big teracce to stay on, well equiped and Floriana was extremely helpful!

Wonderful three night stay at Carlo’s guest house. The rooms were large, and felt almost brand newly decorated. Super comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. Tea and coffee machine and mini fridge in rooms with small kitchen area with microwave in communal area. Centrally located just outside the old town main entrance so super easy from station and to explore beautiful Bari. Floriana was super helpful with check in, recommendations and booking a taxi for us.

The stay was perfect, we are very thankful for the hospitality and kindness of Flor and Carlos. Absolutely recomendable specially for the location.
Could be better: Just take into account that there is a tall stairs to reach the room. That was not a problem because the hosters helps us with our suitcases.
