Could be better: The problems started after the arrival, when we noticed only one bed of the two available was prepared (the flat was booked for two people, with two beds). When we arrived there was only one bed made, so we contacted the owner, expecting someone to bring additional linens the next day, which would be totally fine. Unfortunately with the solution, we also got a lot of attitude from the manager (that was full of exclamation points and to some extend rude, with examples like “I cannot read your mind” while also adding rude emoticons like eg. “🤦‍♂️” to his responses). Out of dozens of bookings (and having no problems), the customer service in this one was the worst. The overall experience wasn’t terrible, but you don’t expect this attitude while booking holiday stay.

Could be better: We were very excited about our stay at this property, but the reality turned out to be unexpectedly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, we had to wait almost half an hour for the person who was supposed to check us in, even though we had been in constant contact with him about our journey and our location. Up to this point, we understood that things happen. However, as soon as he unlocked the apartment, we encountered the main issue: there had been a mistake with our reservation, and we were given an apartment that we had not paid for. What was particularly disappointing was that, instead of receiving an immediate apology, they initially tried to suggest that the mistake was somehow on our side. Once it became clear that this was not the case, we were told, without any apparent concern, that another couple had apparently already been accommodated in the apartment we had booked, that there had been a mix-up, and that we would simply have to stay in the apartment we were shown. The room we were standing in consisted of a bedroom and a sofa bed with absolutely no separation between them. We were four people who had paid for an apartment with two separate sleeping areas — one of them upstairs and completely separate — plus a bedroom for the couple travelling with us. The apartment we had actually paid for is the one shown in the white and turquoise photos on the listing. To be completely honest, this did not seem to concern the person checking us in at all. The only solution they could offer us for that night was a camp bed, which they would take out of the room we had actually booked, provided that the couple staying there was not using it. We were told that the next day, once the other couple had checked out, we would finally be moved to our booked apartment. That never happened.
